Nutrition

Taking into account the wild origin of the Bengal cat the feeding is

slightly different from a domesticated cat. The best is to choose a feed

which is super premium quality and make sure it is high in animal protein!

Next to the feed we can give previously cooked meat (in any case do

heat treatment!) Otherwise, the classical feeding rules can be used.

The kittens should eat Babycat feed until 4 months of age, then you use

Junior feed until their 1 year of age. Then it is followed by the Adult feed that you are going to change to Mature feed when the cat turns 7 years old. Neutered cats should be fed with a feed specially designed for them, which preserves the harmony and health of metabolic, renal and urinary tract. Every time when you change feed give 7 days for it, so the cat's body can get use to the new diet. Fresh water should be always available.

Taking Care

It is nothing special to do with the Bengal cat's fur; it is enough to brush it once a week. If your cat might be dirty, you can use cat shampoo but never forget to dry the fur, and the best should be to keep the cat half a day in a warm place. The claws should be shortened with claw cutter, but never hesitate to ask help from your veterinarian or pet beautician. Never touch the ears by cotton swab! If it is a big amount or unusual colored earwax ask help from your vet. Pay attention to your cat's teeth and oral hygiene! Feed you cat with dry food to prevent foul breath, development of plaques and gingivitis. If you still have this problem concern to take your kitty to a plaque removal.

Warnings

If a cat is moving into your house, you can forget the previously well-worked system. Rather don't keep toxic indoor plants and cut flowers, or keep it in a place where your cat definitely does not have access to it. A few of these plants: azalea, cyclamen, dieffenbachia, dracaena, poinsettia, orchids, yucca, laburnum, daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, anemones, etc … Be careful when you open a window or door, because Bengal cats are able to vanish in a minute. It is advisable to use metal (!)nets on the windows and put a bell on the cat's collar.Put your fragile things into safe place, just because it is no place (maybe except the ceiling) where the Bengal does not run :)Always keep the litter clean, because Bengals are really sensitive to toilet hygiene, and if they can't find it satisfying, they won't be lazy to look for another place.
